Fremont Park

Share your memories of Fremont Park

The City of Playford is redeveloping Fremont Park to help revitalise the space for the local community to enjoy for years to come.

Following approval of the Fremont Park development Master Plan in March, Council will soon appoint a consultant design team for stage one.

Stage one will include upgrading and repairing the creek, adding a new shared use pathway with lighting and furnishings, creating prominent entry points to the park, as well as carrying out some maintenance works.

Construction is expected to commence later this year.

As a way of recognising the parks cultural and historic significance to Playford, we are inviting the local community to provide their personal feedback on their experiences of the park.

Complete our feedback survey and share your favourite memories of Fremont Park.

These memories will then be provided to the design team who will look to possibly incorporate the ideas into the landscape design aspects of the park, such as signage on pathways or on the street furniture.

Be creative!  Your memory might be a photograph, artwork, a poem or creative writing – whatever shows what Fremont Park is to you.

For inspiration, we have collated some visual examples of ways in which community ideas and inspirations been included in other public spaces:

You can provide your memories by completing the survey and including any images or attachments you have created.

Selected submissions will be incorporated in the park design as interpreted by the design team. Council will notify these individuals for further information.

Submissions will be collated to form a Fremont Park Legacy Document to help celebrate the history and significance to the Playford community. The document will be made available for the community at the local libraries.
