City of Playford is committed to assisting local people with an experience of mental illness by working in partnership with other agencies to provide community programs, education, information and events which aim to develop skills, build social networks, raise community awareness and promote community inclusion.

We recognise that mental illness is 'everyone's responsibility' and endeavour to work across the City of Playford to provide services and support to consumers, carers, families, friends and the broader community.

Playford Suicide Prevention Network
The Playford Suicide Prevention Network’ is a voluntary community group working together to help reduce the stigma associated with suicide. We hope to increase community knowledge about where to get local help when in need, including support services for people bereaved by suicide. Our aim is to contribute to a reduced incidence of suicide in the Playford region through educating the community and empowering others to seek help and give hope.
Meetings are monthly, on 3rd Wednesday between 3.30pm – 5.00pm at varying locations. Call 8256 0107 for more information.
Suicide Prevention Network of Networks
This network provides an opportunity to learn more skills, network and share information.
Next meeting will be held from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Monday, 12 September 2016 at the Playford Civic Centre.
