Council monitors traffic movements throughout the city and may look at installing traffic calming devices and other forms of road safety treatments on the local street network (where warranted), as a means of increasing road and pedestrian safety to manage local traffic conditions and the inappropriate use of streets by motorists. Significant community consultation will be undertaken with residents before any traffic calming measures are installed.
If you are witnessing dangerous driving in your area such as speeding or hoon driving behaviour, please report this to the South Australian Police (SAPOL) by calling 131 444. The Police have established a "Traffic Watch" program to record such events. For more information on "Traffic Watch" see the South Australian Police Traffic Watch website.
