Rates due dates

City of Playford has a quarterly system of rating. The due dates for 2018/19 are:

  • Instalment 1 – 3 September 2018
  • Instalment 2 – 3 December 2018
  • Instalment 3 – 1 March 2019
  • Instalment 4 – 3 June 2019

Late payment of rates

If rates remain unpaid after the due date, a rates reminder notice will be sent to residents approximately 2 weeks after payment due date. This is in accordance with provisions of the Local Government Act 1999, Section 181 (8), and stipulates a statutory fine of 2 per cent on the unpaid quarterly amount. Each month thereafter a further interest penalty of prescribed percentage must be added.

We encourage residents to contact our Rates officers on 8256 0333 to arrange a payment plan as soon as they become aware that they may not be able to meet a quarterly payment.
