Playford City Sports Precinct

Providing modern sporting facilities to support the needs of the growing community is a key focus of the City of Playford.

The $55 million Playford City Sports Precinct is one of Council's major projects and will provide a regional centre for sports in the northern area.

Included in the 50 hectare Sports Precinct will be upgrades and developments to a wide range of sport facilities and activities, including tennis, lawn bowls, football (soccer), Aussie Rules, softball and the Aquadome.

Stage one is underway and includes:

  • Brand new $700,000 Adelaide United Football Club Training Centre, opened in September 2015, at Ridley Reserve, Elizabeth
  • Construction of a new Tennis Centre, located in a prominent location off of Main North Road, at Spruance Reserve, Elizabeth
  • Design and development with local sporting clubs for a new all-weather Lawn Bowls Centre in Elizabeth

We will continue to keep you updated as the project progresses.  For all the latest news on the Tennis Centre, including concept designs and Adelaide United Football Club, head to the 'Related Links'.
