Mobile Library
What does the Mobile Library Service provide?
A great resource for any age and any need, our mobile library provides a wide selection, including:
- Books for children, teenagers and adults
- DVDs
- CDs
- Magazines
Where does it go?
Operating on a fortnightly basis, our mobile library visits:
- Shopping centres, including Angle Vale and One Tree Hill
- Nursing homes and residential villages

The mobile library visits preschools, kindergartens and primary schools on alternate weeks to foster early literacy, while establishing a positive connection with the library.
Who has access?
All residents are eligible to join the Playford Library Service for free and to borrow or use resources from the Playford Library branches and Mobile Library Service.
Home Library
What is the Home Library Service?
Home library provides free access for Playford residents dealing with short or long-term difficulties caused by illness, age, frailty or disability.
The Home Library Service is available to eligible customers on a designated day each month; customers will have access to library resources including books (large print, fiction and non-fiction), DVDs, CDs, talking books, magazines, jigsaws, and more.
Who is eligible?
Any resident in the City of Playford that is unable to visit the Playford Library branches or Mobile Library Service due to difficulties with illness, age, frailty or disability. The Home Library Service is also suitable for carers who are unable to leave the home and for short-term customers who have temporary illness or injury.
A medical certificate from a doctor or service provider needs to be provided.
When do we visit?
It is available once a month on a designated day, usually a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
