Playford Wellbeing Hub

Northern Adelaide's first Wellbeing Hub has been developed in partnership between the City of Playford and Wellbeing SA.

The Playford Wellbeing Hub delivers a range of programs and services to support community physical, social and mental health and wellbeing. The initiatives will include a focus on supporting young people, families and older residents to stay socially connected and active, with a focus on wellbeing through food, physical activity and other health and wellbeing supports.

Activities include ‘come and try sports’ at the John McVeity Centre, gardening and cooking programs, open days, art projects and other activities at The Precinct, which supports social and community connectedness.

The Playford Wellbeing Hub is a partnership project between the City of Playford and Wellbeing SA.

Wellbeing Discovery Trail

This fun and purpose filled Discovery Trail will provide Playford residents with opportunities to explore their local community to discover ways to support their health and wellbeing.

John McVeity Centre

The John McVeity Centre (JMC) in Smithfield Plains is one of two key sites for the Playford Wellbeing Hub. The Centre supports community health and wellbeing and provides opportunities for people to come together and connect socially. Contact the JMC for opening hours (hours vary dependent on session times).

The Precinct

The Precinct located in Smithfield Plains is a key site for the Playford Wellbeing Hub. It offers a variety of community services, including a food cooperative and cafe, a local men's shed and an op shop.

The Playford Wellbeing Hub, spanning across two community sites, has function and meetings spaces for your next event or activity.
