Hire of Council Reserves and Rotundas

Reserves and rotundas are great to hire for events of any size and can be hired from the City of Playford. Personal fitness trainers can also hire the space if they meet the terms and conditions. To apply for a permit, complete the relevant application form below and return to Council.

Hire of sporting grounds and facilities

For more information regarding seasonal or regular hire of a sporting ground or clubrooms, please contact Council’s Sport and Property Team (8256 0333 or sportsfields@playford.sa.gov.au). All use of sporting grounds by sporting teams or organised groups requires a permit.

Our sporting grounds and clubrooms are also popular options to hire for special events and functions - contact the Sport and Property team to enquire further.

Guidelines, Risk Management and Insurance

Building Maintenance Guidelines and Form

Building maintenance guidelines are given to sporting clubs to assist with the maintenance of clubrooms and facilities.

Public Liability Insurance

To hire a Council ground for a community, commercial or sporting event (casual or seasonal), you or the person hiring must have current public liability insurance for a minimum of $20 million per claim.

To hire a Council ground for a small gathering and to have an amusement such as a jumping castle, a copy of the Public Liability Insurance Certificate for the relevant hire company must be provided.

Risk Management Plan

If you are holding a small or large event, a risk management plan is required. This ensures all potential risks that may arise from the event are identified and steps detailed for event organisers to either reduce or lessen these risks.
