With a significantly younger population than the Australian median, and a growing number of young families moving to Playford to achieve their home ownership dreams, demand for education and training is only expected to grow.

The City of Playford is currently working to deliver a strong tertiary education presence in the northern suburbs and is ready to work with universities and schools to progress this community outcome.

A particular focus for our city is ensuring that our local community have the skills they need to participate in some of South Australia’s most important projects — many of which are happening right on our doorstep.

Current higher education options include diploma level qualifications from TAFE SA’s Elizabeth campus, trade and apprenticeship pathways at St Patrick’s Technical College.

Currently, UniSA’s Mawson Lakes Campus and University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus are the only two university campuses close by, with both only offering a significantly smaller course catalogue than the major city campuses.
