Project completion
We are pleased to see the upgrade of this significant oval and sporting facility complete. The area was reopened to community after extensive construction works in September 2025.
Council’s transformation of the township’s major sport and recreation facility included:
- An extension to the oval
- New changeroom facilities
- Resurfacing of the tennis courts
- Formalised parking for easy access
- A new bike track to the informal recreation space
- Improved spectator amenities such as seating
The extension to the oval allows for both a full-sized senior and a full-sized junior soccer pitch to be accommodated at the site, which means whole-of-club game days can be held at One Tree Hill.
The new changerooms are available to tennis, cricket and soccer players, and the new bike track adds another recreation opportunity for locals and visitors.
This project was identified in Council’s Open Space Strategy and is jointly funded by the City of Playford and the State Government through the Office for Recreation, Sport & Racing.
