Northern Sound System’s free outdoor movie night is just around the corner and the community are encouraged to head along to watch a family-friendly movie under the stars.

Playford’s premier creative arts and music facility, NSS, offers event programs, courses and workshops, including DJ, hip hop music, youth choir, gaming, animation, songwriting and music production.

This Friday Night Lights Movie Night will be held on Friday 13 December at NSS, with a Live DJ, skatepark access and outdoor movie lined up for attendees.

Mayor Glenn Docherty is excited the Playford community has another opportunity to have some fun in the lead-up to Christmas.

“If families are looking for a free and great night out, our movie night is the perfect event to get involved in,” Mayor Docherty said.

“NSS offers many events for families to get involved in each year and this movie night is without a doubt another family favourite on the calendar.”

From 6pm until 8pm, families can enjoy a Live DJ set and an outdoor screening of Scary Movie 4 will start at 8pm, which is best suited for youth aged 14-21.

The community are urged to bring along their favourite snacks, picnic blanket or chair to enjoy the outdoor movie night.

NSS also has recording studios, a live-music venue accommodating around 400 people, spaces for rehearsal and provides opportunities for young people to develop their musical talents and connect with people in the music industry.
