The City of Playford has completed resurfacing 10,914 square metres of roadways – that’s over five Adelaide Ovals – as Council continues to improve road safety and accessibility across the city.

The recent asphalt work has taken place at Munno Para and Mayor Glenn Docherty said the upgrades are an integral part of Council’s broader road renewal program.

“Council is constantly working to provide our community with a local road network that improves the way people move around our city,” he said.

“Playford looks after 832 kilometres of sealed roads and 66 unsealed – it’s a lot of asphalt to keep in good nick.”

Asphalt and kerbing works have been completed at Nyenna Court, Karinga Crescent and Palari Crescent at Munno Para.

3,986 square metres of asphalt, along with kerbing, is currently being installed at Northampton Crescent, Elizabeth East.

“The resealed roads and new kerbs not only improve the experience of road users and pedestrians, but also elevate the look and feel of local neighbourhood and increase the infrastructure’s lifespan,” Mayor Docherty said.
