What's happening on the day?

  • Our Australia Day event is hosted by “South Aussie with Cosi” star, Andrew ‘Cosi' Costello and features live performances by Humphrey B. Bear, Sun of Africa Drumming, Playford City Band, Phap Hoa Lion Dance, Jordan D’Sena, Juliet Oliver, Emerauld and Heatwave.
  • A flag raising ceremony with Mayor Glenn Docherty and young people from the Ridley District Scouts and Girl Guides Munno Para, will mark the commencement of the morning.
  • The morning will also offer free activities for all ages, including carnival rides, face painting, glitter tattoos, Junior Tradies SA and Games 2 U.
  • A highlight of the event will be the announcement of the 2025 Playford Citizen of the Year Awards by Mayor Glenn Docherty.
