Virginia: Residential Growth Area
Expansion of the Virginia township is underway with the Playford Growth Area Structure Plan proposing up to 580 hectares to the north, west and south of the existing township to be developed.
It is proposed that Virginia will grow to Angle Vale Road in the north, Port Wakefield Road in the west and the intersection of Old Port Wakefield and Port Wakefield roads in the south. The existing Industry (Virginia) Zone land on Nash Road is also included within the growth area.
The zoning changes to the site aims to accommodate future population and employment growth in the cities of Playford and Salisbury.
